USCIS is releasing a new version of Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, on April 1, 2024, as part of the new fee rule.
Please Note: No application on or after April 1, 2024, will be accepted by USCIS if it does not include the new fees.
What is updating in the news Form?
Important Update: Application for Naturalization (Form N-400) Changes
- New Form Available: A new version of Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, will be released on April 1, 2024.
- Action Required for Online Filers: If you’ve already started Form N-400 online, submit it by March 31, 2024, to avoid losing your progress. Drafts in progress will be deleted on April 1st.
- New Version Automatic for Online Filers: Starting April 1st, the online filing system will automatically switch to the new Form N-400.
- New Form for Paper Filers: The new Form N-400 for paper filing will be available on the USCIS website ( (https://www.uscis.gov/n-400) on April 1, 2024.
- Deadline for Paper Filers: Only the April 1, 2024 edition of the paper Form N-400 will be accepted starting June 3, 2024.
