Here is good news for everyone going through the U.S. immigration process: The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) recently announced a change in the validity period of the Form I-693 immigration medical examination record. Here is everything you need to know:
No Expiring Medical Exams After November 1st, 2023:
If you completed your immigration medical exam with a civil surgeon on or after November 1st, 2023.
Form I-693, Report of Immigration Medical Examination and Vaccination Record results won’t expire.
This means you can use them again for future immigration applications. You don’t have to redo the exam if your health information is correct.
What about the exam done before November 1st, 2023?
The old rule applies if your Form I-693 was signed before November 1st, 2023. Your results are good for two years after the doctor signed the report.
This is to make sure the information is still accurate.

Exceptions: Operation Allies Welcome Parolees
For individuals who received parole through Operation Allies Welcome, their immigration medical exam results will be valid for three years from the doctor’s signature.
This extended validity period reflects a policy established in consultation with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Important Note: USCIS Might Ask for More Info:
Even though your result might not expire, immigration officers can still ask for more medical information.
This could happen if they think your health has changed since the last exam or if there’s a concern that the original exam results might not accurately reflect your current health status.
